This course is taught as a 10 week module based paper taught by Dr Megan Wilson and Dr Christine Jasoni.  These modules cover current topics in the field of Developmental Biology including the molecular mechanisms that underlie organogenesis, control of developmental pathways and developmental disease. 

For 2014 this paper will run for 10 weeks starting the week of the 24th of Feb ending and ending in May.

Non-coding RNA and developmental regulation

The evolution of developmental pathways

The developmental origins of disease

Development of the Nervous System

Repair of the Nervous system including regeneration.

Epigenetic control of brain development.

 

Assessments:

100% internal assessment.  Mix of presentations, essay and science communication based assignments.
